Copleston, Frederick - Contemporary Philosophy: Studies of Logical Positivism and Existentialism

IT is the view of many British philosophers that philosophy consists mainly, if not entirely, of "linguistic analysis." And the main purpose of this essay is to explain what is implied by this conception of philosophy. Afterwards I propose to make a few remarks about the origin and development of this idea of the function and scope of philosophy.¹
