McIntyre, Lee C. - Laws and Explanation in the Social Sciences: Defending a Science of Human Behavior

It has long been debated whether we can use the same method of inquiry in social science that has been used in natural science. Central to this debate has been the question of the role of laws in the explanation of human behavior.
